a large box of crayola.

inspired artwork, animation, graphic design, live visuals (VJing), music videos,
interactive media, and clothing designs. Their work can be found in exhibitions,

Lavelle, Stanton Warriors, Boom Bip, Dj Yoda, GLC, and Soul Mekanik to name
but a few.
The name “Meek” came from their desire to be phat but keep a slim ego, to become
the humble magnificent.

DJ FORMAT
Matt Ford, better known as DJ Format, is a world renowned hip hop DJ, producer
and remixer. He's released two critically acclaimed albums in 2003's 'Music
For the Mature B-Boy' and 2005's "If You Can't Join 'Em... Beat 'Em' featuring
collaborations with the likes of MCs Abdominal, D-Sisive, Aspects and Jurassic
5's Akil & Charlie 2na, as well as a ton of 12"s, remixes and a classic instalment
in the legendary 'FabricLive' series of mix CDs. Putting work on a 3rd, more
'experimental' LP aside for the moment, Format's heading out to spin his unique
take on hip-hop, funk, soul and beyond far and wide, dropping in to rock the
BRITS in-between sets anywhere from Moscow to Marseilles. MySpace
SOUTH
CENTRAL
Shrouded in mystery (and their trademark black hoods) the enigma that is South
Central manifests itself as a DJ/Production/Re-mixing duo and as a 5-piece live
band; the former spectacularly dissolves the boundaries of what DJing and live
music are as they use a laptop, a keyboard and a 'magicbox' of their own invention
to remix tracks live. They were on the NME tour last year with The Enemy and
The Wombats and also toured with Sunshine Underground. They have remixed what
can only be described as a 'who's who' list of the brightest and best indie
acts in the world today including the likes of Klaxons, The Whip, The Maccabees,
ShitDisco, Late of the Pier, The Wombats etc. and released singles of their
own on XL/Toung Turks, Regal, Art Goes Pop and Holiphonic which had instant
support from Annie Mac and Steve Lamacq at Radio 1, the XFM DJs and MTV where
it went straight on to the 120 Minutes 'Best of Year' playlist. If you weren't
already aware of them, make sure you remember the name as they have big goals
for 2008. With Radio 1, MTV and the NME on their side, who would doubt them?
South Central will be tearing up the Quiksilver party at the Rider Palace bar
on Tuesday 1st - bring on the 'magic box'!. MySpace
ADAM HUSSAIN (GOLDIE
LOOKIN CHAIN/ ADAM HUSSAIN SHOW/ TENANTS SUPERMEN)
The weed quaffing, Robin Askwith-styled ladykiller of the band, Adam Hussain
brings his unique blend of twisted sexual charm to any party as well as a hearty
supply of organic medication. When Adam isn’t unconscious on his sofa he is
either trying to write another club smash or getting his housemates to drive
him to the latest Dr. Who Convention. It's official! Adam is a science fiction
weirdo and behind the hip hop glamour of the alloy rims and lip gloss he has
a collection of over 250 Dr. Who videos and DVD’s. Behold Adam Hussain, the
deviant man's sexual deviant! MySpace

KOVAK
Kovak kicked off 2008 in style supporting Robots in Disguise at Brighton's
Concorde 2 club, and run their very own legendary Indie/Electro/Pop night. On
Saturday May 3rd Club Kovak returns to Hector's House, as part of the Brighton
Fringe Festival, and will be celebrating the digital launch of their latest
ridiculously catchy single "Death in the Disco" - if you bring a USB
stick to the night you can go home with a FREE copy of "Death In The Disco".
The mighty Rodney Bingenheimer, of LA super station KROQ, has been championing
the band for the last year - this is the man who was first in the USA to play
Blondie, Duran Duran and The Ramones - so maybe the States should brace themselves
for a Kovak invasion! Kovak will be kicking off the inaugural BRITS K2 live
après session on Sunday 30th March.

BOHICA
This Guildford based four-piece outfit are steadily building a reputation as
one of Britain's most promising alt-rock / metal bands. Their second LP release,
"Written Ignition" - available on Revolver Records and through i-Tunes,
combines the heavy riffs of US bands like QOTSA with the grit and aggression
of classic British punk & hard-core and its lead single "Seven Second
Syndrome" is getting regular MTV2 play. They put as much hard work into
their live gigs as they do their studio music, always gigging, always touring,
and as keen snowborders they'll be coming out to shred the slopes and close
down the Brits in true head-banging style playing the final RIDE live après
session on Thursday 3rd April.

TENANTS SUPERMEN
(ADAM HUSSAIN & GRAHAM THE BEAR)
Formed in Newport, South Wales, in 2007 by Adam Hussain and Graham The Bear.
Using just soft drugs, booze, a Casio keyboard bought for tenner, and an inexhaustible
knowledge of useless pop culture they wrote the thirteen songs on their debut
album, "The Tenants Supermen".
After their first live shows together under the name "The Adam Hussain Show"
the boys were asked to support the mighty Super Furry Animals on their UK tour
in October and November, finishing off with two sold out nights at London's
Roundhouse, and another collaboration with the Super Furry Animals and Deerhoof
on New Years Eve at the Royal Festival Hall. In the interim there were a couple
of headline gigs for the Supermen, one at the Legendary TJs in Newport, and
they started the new year by supporting Goldie Lookin Chain on two consecutive
sell out shows in Cardiff and Bristol, where the Supermen added live drums to
rapturous reception.
To many the name Adam Hussain will already be familiar as he found international
success as a key member of hip hop legends Goldie Lookin Chain with hits like
"Guns Don't Kill People Rappers Do" and "R&B" and the albums "Greatest Hits"
and "Safe As Fuck". He is the only member of the 'Chain to have released solo
albums "Truth Or Slander" (2002) and "Self Help" (2007). Adam's been snowboarding
for years and even did a season in Whistler "back in the day" - he hopes one
day to be in every band that exists.
Graham The Bear has been Newport's best loved cabaret DJ for the last seven
years and has DJ'd throughout the country and recently performed with Goldie
Lookin Chain, standing in for an absent 2 Hats. Now sharing centre stage and
vocal duties with Adam, Graham has found his own songwriting has progressed
on the much loved ten pound casio keyboard - great excuse to do something else
with his hands.
With enthusiastic responses from Radio 1, national & music press, and with
a limited release of the debut album in March, 2008 look sure to be the year
of The Tenants Supermen - the boys are 'super stoked' to be playing the BRITS
as they're both well into the shred! MySpace

MATT SMOOTH (SCRATCH)
Matt Smooth has been co-pilot to all things Scratch for the best part of 10
years...YES, TEN YEARS!. Boy how does he stay 'so FRESH?' I hear you ask. Well,
he keeps his Beats clean & funky & rhymes never lumpy...always carrying a bag
of Dope Tunes & a pair of funky feet to rock the party...for real BABY!!!! MySpace
BONOBO (Ninja Tune)
The monkey has carved out quite a niche for himself having released three artists’
albums. Whether touring the globe, dropping exclusive material straight from
his laptop or simply rocking the floor at any venue around the world, Simon
Green can do little wrong. Bonobo's third album, 'Days To Come', is regarded
by many as his best work yet: "Bonobo returns triumphant. An outstanding piece
of work." - iDJ, 5/5 "A ravishing stew of styles. A man of many talents." -
The Sun, 4/5 "Consistently brilliant." - Clash
He set about building his DJ style by refusing to conform to the preconceived
ideas of a laid back style, and aiming headlong for the dancefloor, with a heavy
mixture of hip hop, weighty jazz, broken beats, Latin, funk, and soul, and the
occasional cheeky bit of psyche rock and drum and bass thrown in. Just to keep
you on yer toes right? Now a DJ of international repute, Bonobo has played all
over the world, including playing to huge audiences in the USA and Canada with
Amon Tobin, a progress culminating in Ninja Tune asking him to put together
a Solid Steel mix album. Bonobo's sets at the BRITS come in the middle of a
worldwise DJ tour taking in Canada, the USA, France, Greece, Germany and the
UK - bugger the lounge, lets dance!

NICK MAXWELL (The Menagerie)
Nick Maxwell plays at various hip-hop nights around the UK and in Europe, and
he has been lucky enough to play alongside names such as Run DMC, Dilated Peoples,
Blackalicious, Rahzel and Ugly Duckling, as well as at various large-scale snowboarding
and skateboarding events. Having notched up over a decade of experience behind
the turntables, Nick is fully accustomed to playing as part of a live ensemble,
as well as dropping dynamic sets as a solo DJ. Look out for his ongoing 'Adventures
in Hip-Hop' mix-tape/CD series, and check out some of the tracks on his MySpace
page
TONYB (Homegrown)
Tony B began spinning his distinctive blend of Hip Hop, Rare Groove & Funk
back in the late Eighties. The Nineties saw him move into the London scene with
the Mud Club (Bagley's) & Shrink 2 Fit (Astoria). Over the last 7 years Tony
has been either providing sound systems or DJing at a whole host of Snowboard
Comps in the UK and Europe. Most recently Tony has been found gracing the jolly
roger airwaves presenting the Thursday night Hip Hop sessions on West London's
87.5 FM, and will be heading back to play the BRITS from his current gig playing
in and head engineer at the biggest venues in Thailand!
DOM HARINGTON
Besides from being the current British Halfpipe Champion (3 years running!),
Dom's sets have been blowing away even the most notable DJ's we've ever had
at the BRITS with his turntablist skills. Apparently he’s a bloody nice bloke
and does a lot of work for charity as well…. Don’t you just him already!
