Kids category Born in 1995 or later (e.g 1996, 97 etc)
Youth category Born in 1993 or 1994
Junior category Born in 1991 or 1992
Senior category Born in 1990 or any year between and including 1980
Master category Born in 1979 or before (e.g. 1978, 77 etc)
Special notes for snowboarders competing in other events:
1/ FIS international Halfpipe competitions - If you are born in 1996
you have become eligible to compete.
2/ FIS international BA, BX and Alpine competitions - If you are born
in 1994, 1993,1992 etc... then you have become eligible to compete
3/ FIS International junior competitions are restricted to those competitors
whose 20th birthday falls in or after the "Calendar Year" in question.
4/ Topolino Games and the Burton European Open - If you are in the
UK Kids/ Youth category then you will now also be in the Kids/ Youth
category at each event.
5/ FIS Junior Worlds - If you are born in 1990 or later then you are
eligible to compete.
6/ Junior Olympics - If you are born in 1993 or 1994 (Youth Category)
then you are eligible to compete.
PRIZES
Cash prizes are awarded in the Overall Category for the top
3 men, top 3 women (ONLY at National Championship disciplines)
UK Tour: 1st £100, 2nd £60, 3rd £40
Brits: 1st £400, 2nd £200, 3rd £100
Note: With regards to Snowboard & Skiercross events, riders must
notify registration that you wish to participate in the Overall category
to gain a chance of becoming the "British Champion"
Product prize allocation is awarded in the Kids, Youth, Junior
& Master categories for the top 3 men, top 3 women.
In non national championship disciplines e.g. Big Air Jam Session
we'll also award prizes for the top 3 men, top 3 women for the Overall
Category (best scores regardless of age, or age category e.g. Kids,
Youth, Junior, Senior, Master)
Product prize value vary depending on the sponsor of that
event, however we aim to achieve a RRP prize value of:
1st £120-£60, 2nd £60-£20, 3rd £40-£20
In instances where there are only 3 participants, the 3rd place for
example is effectively last in that age category and as such will
receive a nominal prize. Same if there is only 2 people in that category,
2nd will just receive a nominal prize.
Medals are only awarded for National Championship disciplines.
These are distributed through Kids, Youth, Junior, Master categories
and Overall Result (regardless of age)

Misc Rules
Cash Prize Money & Overall British Titles are only given in the
"Overall Category" which is results taken from every participant
regardless of age. See BX/SX for rules in this discipline below
ALL UNDER 16'S MUST WEAR A HELMET!!!!
Riders may upgrade category's if in Kids/ Youth or Junior age categories,
Masters may downgrade to Seniors, but Seniors may not upgrade to Masters,
nor downgrade to Junior
SNOWBOARDCROSS/ SKIERCROSS (BX/ SX)
Running order/ numbers: Category's will run together in heats.
"Senior's" category will be classed as the "Overall"
category for the British Titles (U18's to upgrade, over 30's to downgrade).
Dryslope events will be run with between 2-4 at a time. On snow 3-4
at a time.
1st Round Qualification: On Snow (The Brits) qualification will be
a timed run down the course on your own, top X amount to qualify allowing
a manageable number of competitors.
On Dryslope/Indoor their will be no timed runs, just straight into
the racing. Number of heats depend on number of entrants Start list:
The start list will be drawn up based on when you registered
Rules: Dryslope/ Indoor/ Brits: 1 or 2 from each heat will qualify
for the next round. TBC at each event
A clean fight is what we want so no intentional pushing, holding is
allowed otherwise your DQ'd
BIG AIR (BA)
Running order: See programme for each event
1st Round: Everyone gets 2 jumps, Best score counts.
Men's & Womens Category positions are decided from these results
if a competitor fails to make the final. Results from the Finals will
over rule any category results.
Final: The Top 3-16 Men, Women (tbc at each event) regardless of
age category qualify for the final and for the Prize Money
All get 1-2 runs (tbc at each event) and the best score counts to
your final position in your specific category.
SLOPESTYLE (SS)
Running order, 1st round, Final is the same as BIG AIR above
HALFPIPE (HP)
Running order, 1st round, Final is the same as BIG AIR above
JAM SESSIONS
At some events, the above disciplines will be run in jam format where
riders will be awarded prizes and the spot for good tricks, or ripper
of the day etc... formats will be specific to each event.

which is suitable for skiers and snowboarders alike.
